Day 3

LOCATION The island Baru and the Blanca beach
ACTIVITY Cartagena is famous for its Caribbean beaches. To get to the paradise islands Del Rosario, known for their corals reefs and their clear blue ocean water, we will take a short boat ride over to the islands. Here we will have the opportunity to snorkel and observe colourful, tropical fish and the most beautiful coral reefs in the area. The boat will also stop at the aquarium and offer a snorkelling experience in the corals. As a tip: If you have the equipment, get off in the aquarium and snorkel on your own, there are more fish at that point than in the corals. (The boat will pick that group back up after 40 min of snorkelling).

In the afternoon, the boat tour will continue. Our next stop is Isla Barú and Playa Blanca, where you can have lunch, swim in the turquoise sea, and spend some time relaxing on the soft, white sandy beaches. Here we will spend the rest of the afternoon, ending the day with a sunset. The boat will then take us back to the city center of Cartagena.

Finally, at night, we will go to dinner at the Plaza San Pedro Claver within the walled city, a zone with beautiful views of the architecture throughout the city.
